Privacy Overview
We care about your privacy. We collect and use personal data only as needed to deliver our services, websites and mobile applications. Your personal data includes information such as your name, contact details, email, address, and other data that could identify you.
Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, we may require you to provide personally identifiable information, including username, email, contact number, location and pictures. We use a Unique Device ID (UDID) and device type for sending push notifications about your bookings. We will also contact you via SMS for booking status updates using the phone number you provided during registration.
Chauffeur Location Data & Permissions
The SpotonCars chauffeur app collects precise location data (including background location) to operate core features such as dispatching jobs, navigation, proof of pickup/drop-off, and safety alerts.
- Data collected: GPS coordinates, heading, accuracy, and geofence entry/exit events while you are on duty or have an active job.
- How we use it: to stream your live position to our dispatch system, update riders on ETAs, validate pickup/drop-off completion, and trigger proximity reminders.
- Sharing: provided to riders and our operations team for trip updates, safety, and compliance; never sold for advertising.
- Permissions: the app requests "Allow all the time"/background location so tracking can continue during active jobs even if the app is minimized or the phone restarts.
- Retention: location trails are linked to the booking record and retained only as needed for operations, safety, and legal obligations.

SSL Security
Our site uses Secured Socket Layer (SSL) to protect personal information. When you access our site and enter personal information, it is automatically encrypted during transmission. Even if transmitted data is intercepted by a third party, the content cannot be stolen. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Third Party Services
We may employ third-party companies to facilitate our service, provide services on our behalf, or analyze how our service is used. These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform assigned tasks and are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose. We may share data for processing payments, performing analysis, and communicating with you.
How to Delete Your Data
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. The way you do this depends on whether you use our customer app or our chauffeur (driver) app.
Customers (rider / booking app)
You can delete your account and the associated personal data directly from within the SpotonCars customer app:
- Open the SpotonCars customer app and sign in.
- Go to Profile / Account Settings.
- Select Delete Account and confirm the request.
Deleting your account removes your profile and personal information from our active systems. Some records (for example, completed bookings and payment receipts) may be retained for a limited period where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or safety obligations, after which they are securely deleted.
Chauffeurs (drivers)
Drivers who no longer wish to work with us can submit a data deletion request through our contact form, or by emailing info@spotoncars.com from the email address registered on your driver account. Upon receiving the request, we will delete the driver's documents and personal data, except for records that we are required to retain for operational, legal, or accounting purposes, such as job records.
